This is a ranged unit!

Defensive stationary unit that can only attack from inside a city and an offensive stationary unit that can only attack from outside a city.
This unit is basically a skirmish unit, taking it can attack from far away making it have good stats is OP, so make it have a limit on the HP, att and def in map maker and you can only move it through transport. (In map maker have and on/off for that)

For both types and both the unit itself and the item(unit) it shoots out, its HP is 0.5-1 and the max att/def is 2/2? Or maybe this unit can not attack, defend or be attacked and take cities but only shoot out skirmish like unit's? Making the "stationary" unit obsolete in fighting phase but the item it shoots out is active in the fighting phase.

This unit can be used while on boat transport making for interesting combinations while it's on a ship, instead of just blocking a port it's participating in the attack of the city while being relatively far away at sea, just like real life.

I'm sure this was suggested before? But i see it as an essential tbh, alot of strategic and interesting plays and maps can come out of this. Excellent strats can also come out of this

I'm not sure I follow this.

What I would like to see is the ability to set a unit's movement to zero, and have it stay that way no matter what strat is used. If I want to make a "fortress" unit of some sort, where naturally, it doesn't move, it will move if someone uses Blitz, since every unit gets +3 range across the board.

Yeah I know, and I agree with that. I guess this unit should be a "Range" type then
