How about in the startup lobby there is an option that allows players to only attack on turn 2, 3, or 4. This will stop Role playing games being all about "HOLY SHIT FRANCE IS FROUGE" "UK IS ROUGE" & all of that stuff. RP wont be so much of a cancer to the community anymore. (Maybe) Also being able to trade (Of some sorts) with allies would also be a good thing for Role players. But that will come down to the map creator if he/she wants certain countries to have less of, more of or even in need of certain materials/resources & something along those lines.....This will also stop the betraying that happens in most games unless this certain empire is rich in all of these certain materials.

Em... I don't mean to be rude, but to me RP is simply secundary. I wouldn't change anything in this game in order to favour RP. RP rules are only te be applied there. If a guy goes rogue, then it's their bussines. Let them deal with it the way they want to. To me, it is absolutely reasonable to be able to attack other players before turn 5 and all that non sense. And trades are already possible... simply send money. Forget about resources, that's a completely different game you're talking about.

I never said such thing. Read again pls. What you're talking about isn't varieties. It's a very specific map. If RP gets such favourable rules for them, what would stop all other scenarios to obtain their own rules? Can you imagine the flame war people can start here?? The game revolves around the default world map. Making people have to follow mandatorily RP rules is not a must, is something people get to choose. I'm not against having RP, but rogues are part of their games once you make up those rules. Or are you against the variety of having rogues? XD

Rogues in rp don't talk they just try to ruin the game, Again this is up to the map maker if he/she wants to make a "RP Map". Giving so much more customization to map creators would be amazing in AtWar. They could not only make lots of different type of plays in rp games they would be able to do it for GGG'S & FFA's & even possibly make a new type of genre in AtWar.

Okey... what you were asking is for a prolongation of the time without being able to attack? Only RP would use it, therefor it would be a very bias and potentially useless change, specially considering that this is a militaristic game in essence. So no. You also asked for resources. That would mean changing the game in very deep details. That would mean nearly changing the game itself. For such big changes I recomend looking for a different game since if admins made the game like this, don't expect any change in the game basis in such deep levels. As for rogues ruining the game... isn't that what all rogues are supposed to do according to you, whether they talk or not? I've met many jerks in RP that talk a lot but do what they feel like doing. For you is ruininig a game, for me it means variety in a boring game without any logical warfare. If you wanna think of it realistically, rogues exist everywhere, so get used to them.

Being more specific: A) Barbarians can't attack Romans until turn 5 B) France and Uk can't attack germany until turn 6 C) The Horde can't attack persia until Turn 4 D) Russia can't attack Germany after turn 21 (Why it can't work at the inverse? support!) You only mention specific players. He mentioned a global peace for 5 turns. The only map retarded enough to keep 5 turns with global peace is RP. A normal map would start with premade countries so that you can fight just after the start of a game. A, B and C are mainly the same but I'm not sure why would that have to be that way or in what circumstances. D is actually quite interesting but it would work as a team switch in scenarios. Completely different idea from what mentioned to this point.

You could also start a colonial game in which each of the colonial powers start with a little colony, and make attacks available in turn 5. Would'be a lot more interesting and realist than starting with preset colonies. you gotta work in that imagination tho :I

Realistic colonies would fight each other since the very first turn. Easy to say, hard to do haha Until this point I find no real circusmtance in any map in which no one would fight up untill turn 5.

Nope, they would avoid fighting for avoid a conflict with the other power, specially if the other power is stronger than them. Haiti and dominicain republic are a very good example. So are those bunch of Caribbean islands. You never saw Spain attacking them. Colony war only comes when you're directly in the other's way or you've got a colony with substantial amount of goods.
