So after playing for a few days I find atWar to be an awesome game, but I got a notification today that I'm not allowed to change game modes because "My game options pack ran out".
And that's fine. I don't mind if I can't play with 20 players or access advanced options.

I do however mind that I'm not allowed to make Private games anymore, since I have friends that I want to play with but we don't want any other players invading our games.

So what I ask for is that free users should be able to make Private games. It would help people who just want to play with their friends but can't afford (or are simply not able) to get Premium access.

Since Private games are supposed to be for "Premium users only", maybe add a penalty for SP gain in the match (I'd say maybe only 50% SP gain or less). Doesn't mean there should be an SP penalty though, but I'm just saying.

What do you guys think? Should free users be allowed to make private games or nah?

AW is an awesome game... however, you can do what you want without changing things. Simply start a game with your friends, and limit the number to however many friends you have. Politely ask any invaders to leave, set rejoin option to zero, and if the 'invaders' won't leave, start the game and kick away.

Adding to what brianwl says, atwar is actually quite a friendly community, if you talk to some people with premium I'm sure they would be willing to set up a game for you that is private. *Salespitch* I assure you though that premium in the long term is worth the expense, if you don't have the cash then there are competitions you can enter that will give winners free premium also
