I please Ivan (do this for me brother, God will bless you) or Amok or Mods or anyone to remove registered players who joined once in this game before 6420927174 days and they are wearing nicknames which I want but I cant take it because of them. Stupid gays, now I have to put '.' after my nickname if I want it. Example: Raskolnikov is taken, Paradox is taken, Erwin Rommel is taken, Psycho is taken, but all those jerks are rank 1 and were last time active when Moses separated sea Thanks, Croat

Support. Maybe 15 days per rank? So if rank 4 goes offline for 60 days, then account is deleted, etc... That way, accounts of people who just tried the game a couple times and left are culled faster than a rank 9 player that's on vacation in some exotic destination. Since people do go on vacation for months in some cases, I guess a vacation mode, that increases the time, would also be a good idea.

Give them a max of maybe 6months or a yr total since as international said people do stop playing for a while, or even just make it those who haven't got prem after a few months being inactive lose their name or something cause it's insane the amount of names taken by players inactive for yrs

Support, but.... - for non premium accounts - after a substantial amount of time of like a year - time periods i have seen above are to low - if a person do chose to come back after that time, some way of letting him know so he can continue playing on that account btw. lol i fucking hate when i try to make an account on some online game with larger playing community ...spending an hour trying to find a name that is available. For fuck sake once i wrote JebeniGovnar32 (fuckingshithead32) and it said ...account with that name already exists xD

Support, getting tired of being asked to change old/troll usernames for people. If you're non prem/have never played a game on an account your name should be up for grabs

Ranks 3 and below should be removed after 1 year. Ranks 4 should be removed after 2 years. Ranks 5 should be removed after 3 years. Ranks 6 should be removed after 4 years. Rest should not be removed unless requested.

No , just no.... i think that it should become mandatory for email to be given, and if they go offline for a long time, then they will get a email saying something like hits " You have been offline for X days and we are changing your name to X so current players can have it"

support, Maybe up to rank 3, players allowed 6 months grace Up to rank 6, 1 year grace, Any higher 2 years grace Also you can ask admin to delete the accounts in question, and if it is reasonable request like 2 year+ inactivity at rank 1, from my understanding they will. Hence how I got OP name Sun Tzu :p

With so many accounts on at AW, the need is there for some kind of account spam control. Like verifying email addresses to help prevent account spamming and auto delete function if no games are played on a new account for 7 days from registration.

So after reading other comments, I modify my suggestion as follows: 1. There is a certain tolerance time, defined as the square of their rank times 15 days (so a rank 4 player has 240 days, etc.), and buying premium will add an additional 360 days to a player's tolerance time, to prevent premium players from losing their usernames too easily. 2. Playing a game to its end (surrender, lose, or win) will renew the tolerance time. Posting a message in the forums will also renew the tolerance time. This will ensure that a player interested in AtWar will keep their username, even if they don't actually play. 3. If the player is rank 3 or above and has supplied an e-mail address, a warning will be sent one week before the tolerance time expires, warning them to renew their tolerance time. 4. When a player's tolerance time expires, one of two things will happen. a. If the player has supplied an email address, that player will be assigned a generic username (a random string of numbers and letters), and will receive an email with their new log-in information. b. If the player has not supplied an email address, that player's account will simply be deleted. I disagree vehemently in requiring e-mail addresses from new players. One of the major reasons I decided to sign up for this game instead of something else is because this game didn't require a e-mail address.

Just to get back on topic.. some people leave the game for a year or so , then come back... but the original message was about players holding usernames and not using them. I can't see any issue with deleting someone who has played fewer than 10 games, logged on fewer than 3 times, and hasn't been on for a year... they aren't coming back. A player should be able to request the nickname and have this player deleted.
