A ground transport would have a capacity of up to **3** units and would be much cheaper than an air transport or naval transport, allowing for it to be mass produced so all of those militiamen can get into battle quicker without needing to spend lots of cash on air transports. +Cheap +Can be built in any territory (mainland or coastal) +Slightly more defense than an Air Transport or Naval Transport -Slower than the Air Transport and Naval Transport -Only carries 6 troops -Shorter view range As for implementing it I had two ideas, either it could be added with all the other vanilla troops or it could have it's own strategy (Ground Assault?) which would focus on ground transports, tanks and militia/infantry. Whaddya think? **Changed to 3 from 6 - I thought air/naval transports were 10 by default, I guess since I've been using upgrades for so long I forgot!

Great idea, although the cost would need to be between that of a sea trans and an air trans. I am guessing 450 or 500.

I think they would have to hold militia only. If they could hold INF or Marines it would make GW and MoS stronger, and unbalance EU 3v3 with the quick movement of INF. PS: Don't listen to Clovis, it's like saying Militia are available in custom games so we should remove them from regular games.

I'm not arguing the fact that we should have it, I'm simply stating if it were to happen + no one is going to go thread surfing, all the information on forums is so unorganized .Can't blame him for making a new thread.

I suggest reducing it's capacity to 2. in term of comparison to the capacity to a real life air transportation and sea transportation, ground transportation should have far less capacity, like Humvee or military trucks. If you think about train it should have higher cost, but it would be easily destoy in war.

2 is very little. To use subs effectively you need a capacity upgrade and MoS. No. At least 4 without upgrades is best

Are you sure? Some things might be moving, lately.
Sure. You might be right. But it's also OK to point at AW history; it's always healthy to have some memory. Maybe you just have to forgive clovis' tone, sometimes.

A v good idea should cost less than a tank and definitely way less than air transports and sea transports. i would have vouched for a capacity of 6 however it is illogical for a massive air transport to have capacity of 6 while a ground transporter fits the same. therefore the capacity should be 2 just enough to transport 1 militia for example to a 0 city to take it

I would argue for a slightly higher cost, but this basically echoes my opinions.

250~350 sounds reasonable to me. It really should be priced high enough so that players use it very carefully. Think Air Transports in a non-Sky Menace game. $600 for 4 capacity. So $300 for 2 capacity and shorter range, but with the ability to capture cities (it is a ground unit after all).

Would be a nice idea, though I think it would be too op, unless it costs a substantial amount, therefore interfering with the overall game META.The idea will be considered however.

Seeing as irl a truck would cost nowhere near the same amount as a ship I say 200 cost of the LT. It's a good idea but admits would have to heavily consider this.

There is a big disbalance if you compare atwar naval and air trans with rl naval and air trans. Ship can cary way way way more trops than plane, yet nt = 15 at = 5, so 3x of a at. Just some random examples Biggest conventional air transporter can cary 14 times less than a random ww2 naval transport. But fuck it, it's a game. :v

Why so defensive? It wasn't even an argument. Facts aren't to be debated. If you guys think the change is so great, then why no simply clone the world map and add the unit to it. Also it would require no admin intervention, or bother the people who doesn't like the chance. If the unit is truly a good addition, then a lot of people will play that map. Eventually it could'be considered to include it as a default unit...

Yeah I agree, maybe three capacity would be more reasonable but a price that is affordable to be produced in threes or fours, it's pretty much an idea I had when I realized how many spare militiamen I had in the further away from battle countries but didn't want to sacrifice a large amount of cash for air transports.

You assume that 1 game unit = 1 ship or 1 plane. It's not. The game operates at much larger scale, and all "units" are rather abstract. 1 tank is definitely not just 1 tank, but a division. 1 air transporter is likewise a group of planes.

So then why can you buy a whole division of infantry for say, 60 coins with some strat. Why wouldn't it be more expensive? Just dumb question, where the answer is probably because its just a game.

I would suggest: Capacity = 3 Cost = 300 Attack = 3 Defense = 6 Can't carry Militia or Marines. It will make GW more stonger.

Land transport related to a specific unit (like it is available for map/scenario-makers); probably to infantry. Another thing could be that land transport is only available in a specific (new) strategy.

The ground transport be restricted to carrying one of a specific unit type (I.e infantry), with a high purchase price - 4-600 is my proposal. This hopefully wont interfere with the game META, yet still provide a useful unit for close battles.
